History the farms

Only German language version:
Im ältesten Urbar von Schloss Tirol, welches z.Z. Meinhards II. im Jahr 1285 niedergeschrieben wurde und in dem die Leistungen und Zinsabgaben der einzelnen Höfe an den Landesfürsten auf Schloss Tirol angeführt werden, finden wir eine dichte, ganzjährige Besiedlung auch höher gelegener Gegenden, die später nur mehr als Almen genutzt wurden. So wird z. B. "datz Sprontz" als ein Schwaighof angeführt (= ein ganzjährig bewirtschafteter Milchhof), der jährlich 300 Stück Käse zinsen musste. Auch die heutige Leiter-Alm wurde damals ganzjährig bewirtschaftet, sie nannte sich  "in Clamisse" und es gab dort gleich drei Schwaighöfe mit entsprechenden Abgaben.

An den Hängen der Mut finden wir folgende Schwaighöfe eingetragen:

1. die heutige Hochmuth, das dem alten Dorf Tiroler Adelsgeschlecht der "Suppan" gehörte bevor sie es dem Landesfürsten verkaufen mussten; (Die Suppan erbauten vor 1237 die Zenoburg und treten 1269 auf der Brunnenburg auf). Die Hochmuther mussten 300 Stück Käse (mit je 1 - 1,5 kg Gewicht) oder an dessen Stelle 15 Pfund in Geld bezahlen, dazu 50 Mutt (altes Maß) Roggen, ein Lamm oder Jungschwein und einen großen Käselaib zinsen.

2. die Mittermut (Wegleit, später Wenner), ein Hof der zuvor einem Burggrafen von Schloss Tirol gehörte und der wie alle Schwaighöfe 300 Käse an den Landesfürsten abzuliefern hatte;

3. der "rote burggraven",
der heutige Talbauer, der offensichtlich auch im Besitz des Schloss "Tiroler Burggrafen" war; Letzteres hatte Graf Meinhard II mit einem Fuder Wein aus Weinbergen in Lana und 20 Mark Geld erworben. Der Hof musste die üblichen 300 Käse jährlich nach Schloss Tirol zinsen.

4. Der Hof auf Untermut gehörte dem Ministerialengeschlecht der Fuchsel auf Dorf Tirol, das die Burg Auer errichteten und 1288 an Graf Meinhard verkaufte. Auch den Hof auf Untermut hatte das Geschlecht der Fuchsel vor 1285 ihrem Grafen abtreten müssen.
In den Urkunden finden wir immer wieder auch Inhaber der Muthöfe erwähnt, so z.B. beim Talbauer 1317 "Jacob ab Mut auz dem Tal" und 1330 "Eblinus de Mut et Brididam uxor sua" (=Eblin = Albert und seine Frau Brigitte).

Wie man also sieht gehen alle erwähnten Muthöfe auf das Mittelalter zurück. Sie waren auch damals nur zu Fuß bzw. mit Saumtieren zu erreichen und die Bewohner lebten vorwiegend von Alm- und Milchwirtschaft.

Wie aus einem Urbar von 1388 hervorgeht, wurde auch der Oberfarmer damals zu den
Muthöfen gezählt und hatte zudem noch ein weiteres Gut auf der Mut inne. Hier wird auch der Mahdpfennig erwähnt, vermutlich für das Recht auf den ober der Waldgrenze gelegenen Mähdern heuen zu dürfen.
